1987年,Thomas E. Bulleit, Jr.懷着長久以來重振家族古老波本威士忌配方的心願,一手創立Bulleit蒸餾酒廠(Bulleit Distilling Company)。Tom的曾曾祖父Augustus Bulleit於1830至1860年間創作出裸麥威士忌;Tom受此啟發,毅然放下前途一片光明的律師事業,押上一切去追尋非凡一生。相信今天,不只我們慶幸他做出此舉。

差點永遠消失的威士忌

1830年代,肯塔基州路易斯維爾一名小酒館老闆Augustus Bulleit矢志要釀製出一款味道獨特的波本威士忌。經過無數次調配實驗,他終於配製出一種追尋已久的味道。但天意弄人,在波本威士忌的酒桶從肯塔基州運往紐奧良的途中,Augustus Bulleit本人人間蒸發。當時發生何事,至時仍然未明,而他創作的配方亦差點跟隨他消失於歷史之中。

今天的傳奇

時至今天,Bulleit® Bourbon以Bulleit家族的傳統方法蒸餾及陳釀。裸麥威士忌令這款酒增添大膽、辛香的個性,並帶特別順滑、清爽的尾韻。肯塔基州經石灰石過濾的水是品牌波本威士忌個性的根基,而經烤烘的美式橡木桶則是煙燻香氣的骨幹。我們的陳釀哲學十分簡單:等到波本威士忌成熟為止。
