The dream of one man to offer the very best champagne every year

The House was established in Reims in 1843, by Joseph Krug, a visionary non-conformist with an uncompromising philosophy. Having understood that the true essence of Champagne is pleasure itself, his dream was to craft the very best Champagne he could offer, every single year, regardless of annual variations in climate.

Paying close attention to the vineyard’s character, respecting the individuality of each plot and its wine, as well as building an extensive library of reserve wines from many different years allowed Joseph Krug to fulfil his dream.

Krug Grande Cuvée - The first and unique Prestige Champagne re-created every year, beyond the notion of vintage.
Krug Grande Cuvée 170ème Édition is a blend of 146 wines from 11 different years, the youngest of which is from 2013, while the oldest dates back to 2000.
The art of blending wines from so many different years gives Krug Grande Cuvée its unique fullness of flavours and aromas, impossible to express with the wines of just a single year.

Krug Rosé is an unexpected rosé Champagne combining elegance and boldness inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of the House of Krug to conceive a rosé Champagne that did not exist, a rosé Champagne that could be re-created every year.
  • KRUG 2008

Krug 2008 is the elegant and intense story of a cool and balanced year, nicknamed “Classic Beauty” by the House’s Tasting Committee members.
For Krug, the year 2008 gave birth to a great classic Krug Champagne balancing structured freshness and diverse flavours. Krug 2008 exhibits both power and elegance with a textured and intense mouthfeel very characteristic of the year’s wines, which uniquely reconciled intensity and quality.

From Krug's single walled parcel of vines in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, prized for its chardonnay, the 2006 vintage demonstrates the full potential of this exceptional grape and plot. A true rarity, Krug Clos du Mesnil is a pure and crisp blanc de blancs champagne. After 12 years in the Krug cellars it has become strikingly precise and will no doubt continue to age gracefully.

Krug Clos d’Ambonnay 2002 exalts the intensity of a single walled plot of vines in the village of Ambonnay, and of a single grape variety Pinot Noir from a single year, 2002
